<-- -- - - - -- = == = =====[LBB Productions]== = = == == = ----- - - -- - -- I suppose that after a while I was tired of not belonging to a group, or I wanted to put a LBB [group] in my releases like all the big kids did. Bear in mind that this was back in the 'ol BBS days and something on the order of 99% of my scene activity was through Ryan Cramer's BBS, Data Connection. Actually I think I really started using it as a way of motivating myself to increase the quality of my stuff. I really hadn't made too much "original" stuff before then and I think this was a way of giving myself a kick in the rump to get going. Alot of this work is heavily based on other scene music I heard at the time and I'm comfortable in saying the C.C.Catch was my #1 influence at this time. Some of my tunes here are nothing more than me stripping away his notes and trying something of my own with his samples. I suppose the open source nature of tracking (and the wonderful educational environment it provides for a composer) are vastly understated. This is also a time of several huge context (read: tracker) switches. Early in 94 I started to use Renaissance's MMEdit but switched in favor of FC's Scream Tracker III about midway through 94. I never looked back. I suppose it was this switch which helped me get into my first group, Terraformer, as they liked the stuff I was doing in ST3 and wanted to bring me on. 1993 and 1994 were interesting years for me. I think I really started to "get it".
